We are constanly looking for aspiring and energetic individuals with proper training in computing, biomedical sciences, bioinformatics, and engineering to join our group. We particularly want to welcome anyone who likes to experience the thrill of interdisciplinary and translational research, get his hands dirty on the largest Oracle data warehouse at IU to create some big impact, or have strong desire to be unique and successful--in Academia or in the industry. Opportunities are available at all levels of expertise--undergraduate, graduate, and postdoct. Some positions are "apprenticeship", which means that you give up opportunities of earning money elsewhere just so that you get a glimpse how we operate and pick up some skills. Some positions are paid, from hourly to full-time research or teaching assistantships. For M.S. candidates, the chances of getting any support in the first year is slim, because the priority should be taking courses. For advanced graduate students, the chances of getting selected for financial support at the beginning depends on individual preparation, past accomplishments, evidence of committment, and, frequently, an independent study with positive outcome. We take pride in the accomplishment of students and scholars who go through formal training in our lab. For questions, please send your resume, any sample work (software, technical reports, web sites, research papers, etc.), and a personal statement to:
